Hadleigh Society

The Hadleigh Society has carried out research into the Hadleigh home front during the great war.  By searching through local archives, council minutes, school diaries, etc they have been able to put together a fascinating picture of life in Hadleigh throughout the great war years.  The Society presented their findings to the community through a very informative and interesting lecture.  The lecture told the story chronologically, describing events in Hadleigh alongside the key events of the war.  All the research material has been made available to the centenary project and can be found under the Home Front link.

Hadleigh Community News

HCN_Header.png

The Hadleigh Community News provides the project with a monthly column.  This allows the project to keep the local community updated with the project on a monthly basis.  The column normally tells the story of a Hadleigh soldier who died in that month 100 years earlier.  Along side the column is a section that recreates the news reports from local newspapers of the period.
